 Ken Engle had his beginnings in radio in
a 1942 broadcast of a nationally winning speech for the Future
Farmers of America as a high school senior in Abilene,
Kansas. Following service as a tail-gunner on a B-24 bomber in
World War II, he was an announcer with WMBI (Moody Bible
Institute) in Chicago.
In 1951, he sailed to the Philippines as a missionary and was
involved with FEBC (Far East Broadcasting Company) stations in
Manila. Through the years hundreds of programs have been
produced. In addition to Moments of Melody, there is Moment to
Remember, The Emmaus Bible Hour, What the Bible Teaches, the
"Living" series, and others. Ken resides alternately in Carrollton, Texas and Olathe, Kansas. He and Mary Lou (1930-2003) were married nearly 50
years, served in the Philippines (1951-1975) and Kansas (1975-2003) in radio, music and pioneering churches, have six children, Becky, Karen, Kevin, Stan, Gordon, Doug and quite a few
grandchildren.
